This
ride celebrates great coffee - motorcyclists' second most important
fuel.

on the Ironbutt Association site. The rules for this ride are similar and you
will get valuable background information.

Definitions
DBR - Dated Business Receipt
A DBR is a machine generated receipt with the date, time and LOCATION
on it. Check it - do not assume it is correct. A receipt
with an incorrect time/date/location is worthless. Check and
re-check.

Rules
These
rides have many different levels of difficulty: 'Coffee Cup' rides are
SaddleSore equivalent distances and times (1000 miles within 24 hours),
Bean Burners are Bun Burner equivalent rides (1500 miles)
Coffee Cup
1000 - Drink coffee at 4 different
permitted
locations - 24 hours**
Coffee
Cup
Gold - Drink coffee at 6 diffeent permitted locations - 24
hours**AND either get
a DBR from a city with 'coffee' in it's name (Coffee, California;
Coffee Creek, Montana; Coffeeville,
Tennessee; etc.); OR take a picture of your bike alongside an official
DOT road sign with the city name, and then get a DBR within 50
miles. You may
drink one of your required cups of coffee in your 'Coffee' city.
Bean
Burner 1500 - Drink coffee at 6 different permitted locations -
36 hours**
Bean
Burner Gold - Drink coffee at 4 different perimtted locations -
24 hours
(No wildcards permitted)
You
must take a selfie at each stop drinking, what else - coffee - and get
a DBR at that store.
Each coffee selfie must be at least 150 miles apart.
**We
recognize that few, if any coffee shops are open 24/7. We will
permit two WILDCARDS to be used in place of the permitted locations mentioned
below. To use the wildcard, you may take a selfie drinking coffee
in front of a gas station or any 24 hour
convenience store/supermarket or from a National chain like
Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts,, Denny'setc. Photos must
still be at
least 150 miles from any other photo.
You
may start and/or end your ride at any permitted or Wildcard location
except for the BBG.
Your
ride starts at your first coffee location after you drink your first
cup of coffee - and take a selfie.
Your ride ends at your last coffee location stop, AFTER you drink your final
cup of coffee and take a selfie. Don't forget the final receipt.
Permitted
Coffee Locations
Each
permitted coffee location must be either:
--Coffee roasting facilities.
--Local Favorites: Usually independent operations
with the word "coffee" or "roasters" or similar designations in their
name.
EXCEPT FOR
YOUR 2 WILDCARD STOPS (best used early morning or overnight) -
NO NATIONAL OR BIG CHAINS ARE PERMITTED
You may take any route you like.
Your official time is determined by the starting
and ending receipts. PLEASE check these documents and make sure
the clock and date are correct!
Spotwalla.com
is strongly recommended but not
required.
Remember it is YOUR responsibility to prove you visited
all required stops in the required order. Spotwalla goes a
long
way towards this proof.
