These
rules apply to all U. S. In-State and Canada In-Province Ride
Arounds. The terms 'state' and 'province' are used
synonymously.
Background:
Your
goal is to trace the inside borders of the state by
"connecting-the-dots", riding through the required jurisdictions listed
by state, without leaving the state.
Read the rules
for
the iconic SaddleSore 1000
on the Iron Butt
Association site. The rules for this ride are similar and you
will get valuable background information.
Documentation: See here.
Definitions:
DBR - Dated Business Receipt
A
DBR is a machine generated receipt with the date, time, city and state
on it. Check it - do not assume it is correct. A receipt
with an incorrect date/time/city/state is worthless. Check and
re-check.
Rules:
All
In-State rides require the use of Spotwalla. If you are not a
Spotwalla
user, here's help with getting started.
You must obtain a start and end DBR.
You must start at any of the
states' required jurisdictions or at any location along the inside
perimeter of the state that is in a direct path between the required
jurisdictions.
You must make a
complete circuit of the inside perimeter of the state, crossing your
starting
point to finish, i.e. obtaining a DBR at your same starting and ending
location.
You must "ride-through" the jurisdictions in the order
as listed by state, either clockwise or counter-clock, but they
must be in order as required by state.
You should not leave the state except for safety reasons and if you do
so, you MUST re-enter the state at the same
point
you left it. Those miles ridden outside the state are not
credited toward the miles for this ride.
You
may take any route you choose but remember, your goal is to trace the
inside borders of the state by "connecting-the-dots" represented by the
required jurisdictions by state and remember you should not leave the
state except for safety reasons and the required jurisdictions must be
visited in order.
Your official time is determined by the starting
and ending receipts. PLEASE check these documents and make sure
the clock and date are correct!
Again, Spotwalla.com
is
required to prove you "rode-through" all
required jurisdictions in the required order.
Merchandise:
There is no additional merchandise for these ride.
