Definitions

DBR - Dated Business Receipt
A DBR is a machine generated receipt with the date, time and LOCATION on it.  Check it - do not assume it is correct.  A receipt with an incorrect time/date/location is worthless.  Check and re-check.

What is pie?
Sweet or savory-anything with a pastry crust. Pie can be open like a cream pie.  Pasties, pot pies, hand pies and fried pies count as well.
For this ride, pizza or calzones are not allowed.

Fees:  See Fee Page

Rules
This is a SaddleSore 1000 only. You may nest this ride it in longer rides.

The ride is designed to encourage finding locally made pies from any of the following locations:

Pie shops or bakeries, local, non-chain restaurants, cafes or diners.
farmers markets or specialty grocery stores.

Pie from fast food locations or gas stations do not qualify, unless you can confirm that they are locally made. Confirm by taking additional photos of the label.

Chain grocery store for, example Walmart and Kroeger, often have a bakery department but they do not qualify for this ride. A chain is described as having more than six locations.

The ride must begin and end at a pie location.**

Pie Pusuit 1000 - Eat at 4 pie locations - 24 hours**

Pie Pusuit 1000 GOLD - Eat at 4 pie locations - 24 hours** AND be riding at some time during March 14 - or July 22.

THE RIDE

You will be taking a selfie or photo of yourself and your pie and collect receipts after each pie location.

Your ride starts after you eat your first piece of pie (so you are on the clock when you get your receipt after eating).

Your ride ends after your last pie and you get a receipt.

You may take any route you like, but all pie locations must be at least 200 ridden miles apart.

**We recognize that few if any pie shops or bakeries are open 24/7, we will permit  one WILDCARD to be used in place of the permitted locations mentioned above . To use the wildcard, you may take a selfie eating pie in a 24-hour chain restaurant like Waffle House or Denny's, BUT pie is often a 'secret' menu item at these locations. Double check that this option is available. 24-hour diners, especially in college town locations, normally have pie available.

Your official time is determined by the starting and ending receipts.  PLEASE check these documents and make sure the clock and date are correct!

Spotwalla.com is  required.

Remember it is YOUR responsibility to prove you visited all  required stops.. Spotwalla goes a long way towards this proof.
