Earth to Moon Adventure 
Version No. 1.1 The Earth to Moon Adventure is a series of long distance motorcycle rides to pay tribute to the Apollo astronauts, by starting in Earth, TX, riding to and finishing in Moon Township, PA, or round trip back to Earth, TX. Any combination of Bun Burner or SaddleSore certified rides can be applied to the Earth to Moon Adventure. Become an "IBAnaut". The Earth to Moon rides can start on any date. Special certification and designation in the IBA records is awarded to those riders who start thier ride on an anniversary of a historic Apollo launch date. APOLLO 11 Launch Date: 16 July 1969 APOLLO 12 Launch Date: 14 November 1969 APOLLO 13 Launch Date: 11 April 1970 APOLLO 14 Launch Date: 31 January 1971 APOLLO 15 Launch Date: 26 July 1971 APOLLO 16 Launch Date: 16 April 1972 APOLLO 17 Launch Date: 7 December 1972 Read the rules for the iconic SaddleSore 1000 on the Ironbutt Association site. Definitions DBR - Dated Business Receipt A DBR is a machine generated receipt with the date, time and LOCATION on it. Check it - do not assume it is correct. A receipt with an incorrect time/date/location is worthless. Check and re-check. Fees: See fee page Rules All "IBAnaut" rides must start in Earth, TX and finish in Moon, PA or round trip back to Earth. Starting in Moon and riding to Earth, or round trip back at Moon, is allowed under the rules. Round trip riders receive "Lunatic" designation in the record books.  You must obtain a DBR every 350 miles or less. Several combinations of the standard IBA Bun Burner, Bun Burner Gold and SaddleSore rides are acceptible for certification. The following IBA standard rides can be applied to the Earth to Moon Adventure series of rides: SaddleSore 3,000 in less than 72 hours SaddleSore 3,000 Gold in less than 54 hours Bun Burner 1,500 in less than 36 hours Bun Burner Silver in less than 30 hours Bun Burner Gold in less than 24 hours Bun Burner 3,000--2 BBGs back to back Your official time is determined by the starting and ending receipts. PLEASE check these documents and make sure the clock and date are correct! Spotwalla.com is strongly recommended but not required. Remember it is YOUR responsibility to prove you visited all required stops in the required order. Spotwalla goes a long way towards this proof.
