Background:
The
Florida Keys 1000 is a
ride between Key
Largo, Florida and Key West, Florida on a two lane
speed restricted highway. In order to ride 1000 miles, you must
ride this route, and return 5 times; OR you may choose to ride other
combinations of roads between these two locations. The challenge
of the ride is
the sheer monotony of riding back and forth, though the small
communities of the Keys, and across the open bridges of the Overseas
Highway.
Read the rules for
the iconic SaddleSore 1000 on the Ironbutt
Association site. The rules for this ride are similar and you
will get valuable background information.
