Background:
The MI-UP-X ride is roughly 1,015 miles. You will ride your
motorcycle to or from all four designated corner jurisdiction and cross
the center jurisdiction three times.

Association site. The rules for this ride are similar and you
will get valuable background information.

Definitions
DBR - Dated Business Receipt
A DBR is a machine generated receipt with the date, time and LOCATION
on it. Check it - do not assume it is correct. A receipt
with an incorrect time/date/location is worthless. Check and
re-check.

Rules
This is a Spotwalla Required ride.
Photos are required.
The ride must be greater than 1,000 miles and completed in less than:
---Michigan UP-X ride - 24 hours.
---Michigan UP-X ride GOLD - 24 hours
You
must start at any designated corner location. You must ride at least
1,000 miles You must end the ride at
the last
designated corner.*
You must visit the center jurisdiction three times.
*A DBR photo in front of your odometer is the preferred method of
documenting your start and end, however it may not be possible to find
a business or ATM at the time you are at that location. In that event
take the required photo or a photo of your bike in front of the
jurisdictions post office,
police station or municipal building. Welcome to and city limits signs
are
also acceptable means of proof. Then, get a DBR at the next
convenient location within 50 miles.
You may not leave Michigan - except for safety
reasons and if you leave you MUST re-enter Michigan at the same
point you left it. Miles ridden outside of the state do not count
towards you total mile for this ride.
You
may take any route you like but remember you must visit each of
the listed corner jurisdictions and you must visit the designated
center
jurisdiction in between each corner for a total of 3 times.
Careful route planning is advised to ensure your route is greater than
1,000 miles. You
must document each visit with a DBR or photo . You must use
Spotwalla.

**Take a photo of your bike at the bridge located at 46.55753135 N,
-90.41405756W along Hwy 505. Take Hwy 505 north out of Ironwood.
***Take
a photo of your bike in front of the DeTour Passage Historical
Museum. For the MI-UP-X ride, you may use DeTour Passage Museum as your
goal. HOWEVER, for the MI-UP-X ride GOLD you must go to
Drummond Island and take a picture of your bike at the end of E. Bass
Cove Road (THE EASTERNMOST PAVED ROAD ON DRUMMOND ISLAND)
****Take a photo of your bike in front of the The Beginning of US 41
sign, approximately 2 1/2 miles East of downtown Copper Harbor.
*****Take a photo of the lighthouse sign in Lighthouse Ann Arbor Park
near the boat launch at the end of Harbor Dr.
You may start in any corner and ride to the next corner in any
order you choose - but remember you
may not leave the state except for safety reasons and if you do leave
the state you must re-enter at the point you left.
Your official time is determined by the starting
and ending receipts. PLEASE check these documents and make sure
the clock and date are correct!

Remember it is YOUR responsibility to prove you visited
all required stops. Spotwalla goes a
long
way towards this proof.
